An Extraordinary Exhibit by Frances Moulin: “Breweries of North Texas”
Through silver gelatin prints, text, objects and a book created by the artist, Breweries of North Texas: A Photographic Narrative tells the story of a craft beer phenomenon: the owners and brew masters who have dedicated their lives to making quality beer; the patrons who visit the breweries week to week; the passion that goes into making the product; the camaraderie that forms from sharing a pint; and how these breweries have established a relationship with the community.
Breweries of North Texas: A Photographic Narrative goes beyond beer; it explores a changing time in our country and a continued shift toward handmade and local products, and Moulin hopes to provide a glimpse into the people and places making it all possible. She visited 24 breweries from Dallas to Fort Worth, Cedar Creek to Sherman, and Denton to Granbury, taking approximately 1,500 photographs along the way. Moulin’s selected prints, exhibition and book will focus on local brewery owners who decided to pursue a dream, the people who love and support their products and the unique spaces that bring them all together.
